Charity looking to rope in volunteers

Ever fancied experiencing the thrill of abseiling 80ft down the side of the Civic Centre in Ebbw Vale? Well now’s your chance! Children’s charity NCH Cymru has organised an abseil down the borough civic building on Saturday, October 11.

The event will be run by professionals who will give participants the instruction and equipment needed to make their abseil safe and enjoyable.

Anyone over 14 can take part in the event, but those aged 14-18 must have a parent or guardian present.

NCH is one of the UK’s largest children’s charity and supports more than 178,000 of the most vulnerable children and young people and their families, helping them to break through injustice, deprivation, and inequality so they can achieve their full potential.

NCH Cymru supports children across a diverse range of needs including adoption and fostering, housing for young homeless, safe family and parental contact facilities for children and families in crisis, support for young carers and short breaks for children and young people with a disability.
