Solicitors work for free to help charity
Make a will in November and raise vital funds for charity at the same time with the Will Aid campaign. Will Aid celebrates its twentieth anniversary this November, with almost £6 million raised for the British Red Cross and other charities since its launch in 1988. The annual campaign is a partnership between solicitors’ firms and nine UK charities, under which you can make or change your will through participating solicitors by giving a charitable donation, rather than paying legal fees. The suggested donations are £75 for a basic single will, £110 for a pair of matching wills or £40 for a codicil to an existing will. Almost 120,000 people have made a will through Will Aid and the last campaign raised more than £100,000 for the British Red Cross. If you, or someone you know, want to use the service, you can get a list of local participating solicitors through the Will Aid website or the helpline on 0300 0300 013. Demand can be high, so book your November appointment now. Visit the Will Aid website
