PDSA cashes in on animal passion

Veterinary charity the PDSA is auctioning the chance to decorate its shop windows to romantics who want to declare their love this St Valentine's day.

The charity hopes to raise money by making its 180 shop fronts available to supporters who want to decorate a window that will catch the attention of the object of their desires.

Last year saw 33-year-old Tamra O’Hara from Greater Manchester donating £20 to paint a marriage proposal.
