Wife raises charity cash at husband's party
A wife who organised a 60th birthday party for her husband told the 70 guests not to give him any presents.
Cathy Monaghan asked them instead to make a donation to Cancer Research.
Mrs Monaghan, who had breast cancer five years ago, managed to raise £475 through the bash for her husband, Graham, owner of Kingston Road Dental Practice, in Taunton, at the County Ground, in the town.
Mrs Monaghan dropped by the charity's shop in Taunton to hand over the money to shop manager Sue Jones and Diane Pearse.
