Pedal Push for charity appeal

Cyclists are being asked to get pedalling around Wycombe next month, as an annual charity bike ride gets rolling once again. The Rotary Club of High Wycombe will be having its Pedal Push on Sunday, May 18, to raise money for Scannappeal.

But this year the event has had a slight makeover, with two different routes to choose from.

The first will be a 25-mile ride through quiet country lanes and cycle paths, and the second will be a more challenging 50 mile ride that will also be suitable for road bikes.

Both courses will be fully signed and marshalled, and will have various refreshment points along the way.

The Rotary club wants riders who are interested in taking part to register as soon as possible. They are also encouraged to raise sponsorship money, although this is not a requirement of taking part.

Participants can keep 50 per cent of any money they raise for their own favourite good cause or charity, if they wish.

Anyone who raises £50 or more will also be entered into a prize draw.
